Avinash Vallur joined Beacon Mobility in November 2024 as Vice President of Electric Vehicles. He brings a blend of technical and fleet deployment expertise within sustainable transportation. Before joining Beacon, Avi led Walmart’s zero emission initiatives in the semi-trucks and refrigerated trailers space.  Prior to Walmart, he held various roles at Cummins, where he worked on the R&D team, developing electrification technologies like hydrogen fuel cells, diesel hybrids and fleet optimization solutions.

Originally trained as an engineer, Avi began his career in the automotive industry working on autonomous parking systems at Tata Motors in India.  After building his career within Tata, he moved to the states and completed his master’s in mechanical engineering at Ohio State University.

Outside of work Avi loves exploring national parks and going on cruises with his wife. He spends his downtime at the gym listening to podcasts while lifting weights, experimenting with new recipes in the kitchen, or mastering the art of brewing coffee.
