Key Responsibilities: 

Beacon is seeking a Data Scientist to join the organization and serve as a key player in building a clear understanding of the potential benefits that connected data and analytics can bring in supporting the vision and goals of the organization. Gains insight into key business problems by applying statistical analysis techniques to examine structured and unstructured data from multiple disparate sources. Uses current and emerging technologies to evaluate trends and develop actionable insights and recommendations to management, via an increasing understanding of the business model and the information available for analysis.  Role will report directly to the SVP of PMO Operations.

  • Apply end-to-end expertise from data, analytics and insight delivery to stakeholder engagement and support of benefit realization.
  • Manipulate large data sets and use them to identify trends and reach meaningful conclusions to inform strategic business decisions.
  • Partner with leaders in all areas of the business to obtain data/KPI’s and pull data from multiple sources, clean data, and prepare data for analysis.
  • Design data modeling processes to create algorithms and predictive models and perform custom analysis in support of creating a culture of safety.
  • Connect with stakeholders to gain a full understanding of the problems they’re looking to solve and build models to address those areas.
  • Build tools to automate data collection and provide business leaders KPI and dashboards to make key business decisions related to safety.
  • Apply data science approaches to understand and predict behaviors and outcomes.
  • Use machine learning techniques, visualizations, & statistical analysis to gain insight into various data sets – some readily available, and some you create and curate yourself.
  • Mentor and lead team members on best practices and action-oriented analyses.
  • Develop compelling stories that provide insight into the drivers of business performance.
  • Evangelize evidence-based decision making by partnering with key decision makers and driving accessibility of data and insights.

 

Education, Experience and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a quantitative field (Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, etc.). Graduate degree a plus
  • 3- 5 years of demonstrated experience in a quantitative analytics or data modeling role delivering modeling solutions in a business context
  • Strong skills in coding, data management, data analysis and data visualization
  • Proven experience with Python, R, SQL, and a data visualization program like Tableau or PowerBI
  • Solid foundation and understanding of relational database principles
  • Lean six sigma green certification or above preferred
  • An understanding of targeted marketing strategies leveraging data science modeling techniques

Position Objectives:

  • Participate as subject matter experts on system enhancements, special ad hoc projects and large implementations of new technology that will impact field operations.
  • Provide subject matter expertise in operational processes to manage scheduled routes through payroll and service to cash process.

  • Support change management at field locations from initiation through sustainment.

Area Operations Support Manager

Position Title: Area Operations Support Manager

Location: Company-wide; 25% travel required

Position Summary:

The Area Operations Support Manager will lead the efforts in establishing operational excellence for several facilities in the Massachusetts area.    Responsible for blending strategic thinking with hands-on experiences, advising on developing and defining operational strategies to help create efficiencies.  This is a newly developed position and will report to the SVP of Operations and will be a critical role in the development and implementation of a process improvement culture.

Currently, we are looking for a Massachusetts resident only.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

  • Responsible for evaluating current processes in the field, create policies, procedures, and initiatives to improve operations.
  • Proactively identifying opportunities for improvement within Operations and based on operations team feedback and evolving needs
  • Lead the implementation of SOP’s (Standard Operating Procedures) for field operations
  • Work cross functionally to identify areas of operational improvements to drive efficiencies and operational excellence.
  • Serves as a resource to operations for operational problem identification, resolution, and continuous improvement implementation.
  • Identify and implement relevant KPIs in operations to monitor efficiency and improvements gained through process improvements.

Essential Skills Requirements:

The role

The Chief Safety Officer will be responsible for strategy, direction, and delivery of all safety matters affecting our employees. Due to the sensitivity and importance of safety, this position has reporting responsibility to the Chief Executive Officer.   This position also includes compliance with state and federal rules and regulations (OSHA, DOT, etc.) as they pertain to our employees.

Besides the duties to develop and implement a comprehensive safety and training program, the position requires a dynamic leader with a personality and work demeanor that can create and foster a “safety first and always!” culture within the company. The position requires a personality that can work independently and has a vision to promote and communicate the safety mission.

Key responsibilities

Program Manager – Program/Project Management Office

The Program Manager will be responsible for providing leadership, coordination, and management of strategic and tactical initiatives.
